Tobe Brann in the studio

The long road

Software engineer by day. Producer by everything else.

Tobe studied Business Information Technology and leads a small software development company — developer, UI/UX designer, and project manager. Music has always run parallel to the work.

It started with FL Studio at sixteen. For nearly two decades he wrote music that almost nobody heard — through university, through the day job, through every rough patch in between. The drive kept coming back.

At thirty-five, he decided to stop hiding the work and professionalize. He switched DAWs from FL Studio to Bitwig and took production coaching — first from Jan Kalt of Schraubfabrik Mannheim, later from Sebastian Schilde (ex-Scooter). Vocal coaching, learning to DJ, rounds of track feedback, first collaborations, ghost producing. Then "Lost in the Night" caught — and a string of releases followed.

In May 2026, he was officially certified as a Bitwig Trainer. He now offers 1:1 production sessions and workshops at the JON School for Music & Writing in Mannheim, Germany.

Right now the studio is being rebuilt and the house is mid-renovation. New music returns later in 2026.

Bitwig 1:1 Coaching

I switched from FL Studio to Bitwig at 35 and got coached myself — it changed how I finish music. Now I'm on the other side of the screen-share, focused on your music, your workflow, your next release.

Coached Mike Apex — first releases in 2024, still ongoing.

  • 1:1 sessions

Live screen-share over video. Bring your project, your goals, or a problem you're stuck on.

  • Bitwig fluency

Modulators, the Grid, sound design, workflow, mixing — tailored to your level and your music.

  • Real outcomes

Walk away with concrete techniques, a sharper workflow, and the confidence to finish more tracks.

What a typical path looks like

  1. Intro session

We listen to a track of yours, set goals, and find the biggest, fastest wins.

  2. Focused sessions

Bitwig deep-dives — the Grid, modulators, sound design, mixing — paced to your level and your music.

  3. Ongoing

Regular check-ins, feedback rounds, and the accountability to actually finish and release.
